The Opportunity:

OptionsHouse has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Copy Writer / Editor. We are a national online options and stock retail trading brokerage. Our company is aggressively expanding and looking for talented and experienced professionals to join us and be a part of our growing team.

This position develops, writes, edits and manages content used for the persuasive marketing and informational content. This person will develop lead conversion landing pages on the company’s Web site to help with the customer conversion process. The Senior Copy Writer / Editor also works on a variety of electronic emails, tips, and other content and manages production schedules and building and disseminating the content.

Candidate responsibilities will include:

• Creates marketing / persuasive / compelling copy for company Web site to help convert interested customers.
• Manages building and disseminating company e-letters, including participating in setting schedule and editorial calendar and working closely with outside vendor
• Develop the company’s style guide and provide training and assistance on style
  issues to content providers as needed.
• Works closely with various content developers to coordinate content and copy creation relevant to new and updated products
• Evaluate new content for industry accuracy, brand/voice consistency, spelling and
  grammatical correctness.
• Copyedit Web content and assists in quality assurance of other content as necessary
• Evaluate new content for its value in Search Engine Optimization according to keyword
  frequency, keyword density, formatting, etc.
• Coordinate publication of Web content with IT department
• Research information / best practices that enhance the value of the site. Effectively manage, warehouse and catalog website content

Desired Candidate Attributes:

• Strong command of the English language and excellent editorial skills
• Enthusiasm for financial services and a high level of familiarity with options and stocks is preferred
• Experienced writing persuasive selling copy that informs and converts customers
• Proficiency at writing content that is clear, concise, creative and compelling
• Demonstrated ability to take complex subjects and present them to readers in a clear, easy-to-understand manner
• Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced detail oriented environment while adhering to deadlines
• Self-starter attitude; comfortable with working independently
• Minimum of 4+ years experience
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Writing, Marketing/Advertising or related major
